He doesn’t care about the wealth and opportunity his father offers.
Racing car mechanic Lucas Renner never expected his biological father to start acknowledging him as a son and only heir. He bet the old man has ulterior motives that has nothing to do with wanting to develop a relationship with him. He refuses to make contact with the man who has rejected him all his life… until his father’s message is hand-delivered by a blushing beauty who stirred him in the right places.
She cares about keeping her job.
Jade Tully thanks her lucky stars for her new role as the personal assistant to a wealthy CEO. Heaven knows she needs it. But she doesn’t anticipate getting entangled in the personal conflict between her eccentric boss and his extremely hunky son—a man who rattles her poise and melts her heart. She wants to help bring father and son together. But if she continues to do her boss’s bidding, would she lose Lucas’ trust and her chance to capture his heart?
The Unwilling Executive can be enjoyed as a stand-alone or as part of the Captured by Love series.
Is it worth it?
It's a question I kept asking as I read about Jade and Lucas. Was being kept in the dark about her boss' relationship with Lucas worth all the back and forth for Jade? Was it worth wanting to get know Jade even though Lucas knew who her boss? Was acknowledging and pursing each other worth what might happen if it ever came down to choosing between her job and her heart?
They were an adorable couple. A blacktop hardened man who'd been around the world and back, sampled the flavors of many women at home and abroad brought to a standstill by a woman who knew cars, loved flowers, and needed the money she earned from her executive job for her family. Polar opposites who needed each other for more than searing kisses and hot sex.
They needed each other because they were it for each other.
But the road to happy ever after isn't smooth by any means. Misunderstandings, interference, and stubbornness kept these two from achieving that sooner. There were tears and angry words, brush offs and more misunderstandings. Yet, in the end, they stood together because they were meant to be together. All that other stuff? Forgotten the minute they acknowledged their mistakes and declared their love for one another.
Their happiness was apparent to their friends and family, and it even showed up in one place Lucas never expected it to: his relationship with his father. They reconciled and Lucas, who'd been looking for a place to belong if he ever left the Formula One world, stepped into the role his dad had been hoping he'd take as heir to his company.
So was it worth it? Was all of that hardship and difficulty and irritation worth it? Yes. Everything they faced as a couple and as individuals was worth it because, in the end, they got what their hearts desired the most--happiness with and love for each other.
I've loved reading romance novels since my early teenage years. My auntie used to send me boxes of her books and I would devour them one after another. Every so often, I would read a mystery or a suspense or a paranormal novel as I love those genres too. But romance is still my favourite.
For many years, I wrote technical and non-fiction materials for professional use and had only dreamt about writing a novel. Then, one day, after a period of binge-reading sexy romances, I decided to sit in front of my computer and start writing my first fiction book. The result? My debut novel, "Will To Love", the first in the hot and sexy Lifestyle by Design series. After that, I knew that I'd love to write more beautiful love stories.
