New job, new town, new people— new life.

That’s what Olivia Langston needed. At twenty eight, she was given a rare opportunity at an internship in the rolling valleys of Crystal Falls in California wine country, far away from her small town roots in North Carolina. It was an unexpected journey she desperately needed after her ex-husband crushed her.

At DeVine Winery, she expected a fresh start in a new environment to help let go of her past. Instead, she found Daniel Black and a hell of a lot of sexual tension she wasn’t prepared for. He was gorgeous, modestly wealthy, irresistible, and just happened to be part owner of DeVine, one of the largest vineyards in the country.

If only she knew that before she kissed him her first night in town.

You know that saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"? This story is totally that saying.

I originally thought that saying only applied to Olivia. In hindsight, it also applied to Daniel. They'd both been dealt pretty shitty hands in recent years and needed a little bit of sweetness, goodness, to brighten their lives. They found it accidentally in each other one night at a club, through a kiss Olivia swore was a mistake. But was it?

Olivia was right to be cautious about Daniel. The relationship she came out of ended with deception and put a glaring spotlight on the one thing Olivia, and her ex, knew she couldn't do: have children. It wasn't her fault; she didn't ask to be born with Low Ovarian Reserve. But she didn't deserve to be cheated on and lied to because her ex wanted children she couldn't give him. Coming to California was a way to start over, to put her ex, his mistress and their child behind her. She found purpose in designing a new website for Daniel's family's vineyard, but she found completion in letting Daniel into her life and heart.

Sometimes you don't realize how good or not good something is until you have something else to compare it to. Daniel and Olivia had no idea what they were missing until they met and fell and in love with each other. Their previous relationships couldn't compare, on any scale, to what they experienced in and out of bed together. Attraction was instantaneous. Lust was undeniable. Love... Well, that was phenomenal and unconditional.

Well-written and evenly paced with memorable characters (primary and secondary), I enjoyed this story of taking chances, laying your heart on the line, and discovering that life can be better than it's ever been before. Wonderful work, Ms. Flowers, and I can't wait to read what comes next in this series.

Residing in Eastern North Carolina with her husband, 2 girls, and couch-potato dogs, Loni works a full-time professional job during the day and writes in her free time. She never thought it was possible to have a satisfying writing career, but with the love and support of her family, she's made it part of her life.

Loni searches for the tiniest speck of romance in any story and is a firm believer in the happily-ever-after’s. She thrives off the sexual tension, and gets a kick out of taking her characters on a roller-coaster ride of drama-filled emotions. A romance that can soothe the soul is her number one priority.
