Life as she knew it had ended…

When Alexandria York fatefully met the Duke of Avalon in the woods she never imagined she’d be working for him. A rising star of the art scene in London, Alexandria agrees to commission a piece for the infamous noble. His intentions quickly become confusing as chemistry grows between the two.

As she dreams of the man she can’t have, the one she can lures her deeper into his lair. Will the man she once loved be her Knight in shining armor and slay the Dragon? Or will the Dragon consume her before it’s too late?

In this life, his heart was the stone and her love was the sword…

The Duke of Avalon has lived a long and lonely life. He has chased his love through the centuries and every time she has jilted him, but not this time. Tormented by inner demons, Avalon seeks to keep his secret safe while vowing to win Alexandria York. When his former charge, Lancer Rivers comes back into both their lives, he finds he more than one challenger for her hand. Can he protect Alexandria not only from the man after her very life, but also himself?

Pick it up. Come on, you know you want to. *smiles*

If you happen to pick up this book and read it, I hope you find it as fascinating and alluring as I did. Avalon (I liked his nickname, the Dragon, lol) and Alexandria's push and pull, give and take relationship was the kind that made me want them together and then not. The love/hate they mutually shared wasn't tiresome but intriguing, you know? Some Hero-heroine relationships suffer greatly under that kind of constant strain. Some don't. Avalon and Alexandria's didn't but it could be because they shared a connection neither understood.

But this isn't a story of one man and one woman working past their differences to a happy ending. No, there are others vying for Alexandria's attention. And while she is inexplicably drawn to Avalon, she can't deny the other two reaching for her from the fringes. Neither can Avalon for that matter. The choice is hers though he's already claimed her as his own in his heart.

Fascinating (I know I used that word earlier) isn't really an accurate enough description of this book. It's...engulfing. It pulls you in and holds you captive until the end. As a warning, this is a cliffhanger but don't let that deter you. Please? *laughs* I'm seriously not above begging here because this is a book worth reading.

Well done, Ms. Stewart. You're an author I'm willing to follow because you've crafted a story I was willing enough to read and I'm wanting to read what comes next.
