Will his billion-dollar fortune cause him to lose the woman he loves?

Jarryd Westbourne is shocked to have inherited a billion-dollar fortune from the mother who'd given him up for adoption. Unfortunately, business complications force him to keep it a secret from everyone for a period of time, even from Marilyn Grant, the woman he's crazy about. When his birth mother's husband suddenly challenges the will and accuses him of foul play, he ends his relationship with Marilyn to protect her from any scandal. But can he ever win Marilyn back if she discovers what he's been hiding from her?

Can her love survive a necessary deception?

Marilyn Grant was heartbroken when Jarryd Westbourne dumped her unexpectedly. But she believes that Jarryd broke up with her only because he's intimidated by her parents being billionaires while he's only of average means. She's keen to prove to Jarryd that she doesn't care one bit that his wealth is nowhere near her family's. After all, love and trust, not money, are the foundations of a lasting relationship. And Jarryd is one guy she knows she can trust...

The Unknown Billionaire can be enjoyed as a standalone or as book 6 of the Capture by Love series. The author recommends reading the books in order to fully enjoy the series.

"There's always two sides to every story." It's a saying that's probably been said in hundreds of different situations but it is no less true. Because there are.

Jarryd and Marilyn's situation is an excellent example of that saying. Behind the scene events pushed Jarryd to part ways with Marilyn, though unsaid conversations made her believe her family's wealth was the reason for their separation. Far from it. His loyalty to his birth mother is what started it. Now, if this were any other case, I probably wouldn't be so willing to forgive Jarryd. I mean, his biggest fear was losing Marilyn's trust. Rejection and canniness will usually cause what he was trying to avoid. So why do it? Why risk that one thing for a woman he met not too long ago?

Because she's his mom. Because he loves her. Because she loves him.

The wealth he inherited from his birth mom, Margaret, brought a really huge pain in the ass though--Margaret's husband, Patrick. Patrick is convinced Jarryd forced Margaret into bequeathing him half of her company instead of giving it all to Patrick. Jarryd didn't but how can he prove it? Does he prove it is the more important question. His innocence of Patrick's accusations isn't the only thing on the line. Any hopes of regaining what he with Marilyn is too.

The intrigue of Jarryd's story is entwined nicely with his and Marilyn's love story. One thing about Ms. Charles' writing is she's extremely gifted at writing multiple story lines in one story without losing focus on why the story is written: two people destined to fall in love now and stay in love forever.

Jarryd and Marilyn's story is a continuation of Ms. Charles' Captured by Love series but each story is a standalone. While each couple goes through unique situations to get their happily ever after, the circle of friends introduced in book 1, The Unwilling Executive, remains the same. And the love they have for one another as friends, how they look after one another, fight tooth and nail for one another, is another unique aspect of this series. They live, love, and grow together, proving friendships, family, and the love of a good man or woman are what makes a good life a great life.

Miranda P. Charles is the author of more than fifteen steamy and stirring contemporary romance novels.

She prefers to spend her time in front of her laptop, putting into words the love stories that play in her head. Don’t get her started with reading a great book, though, because she has the tendency to not put it down until she gets to the last page.

She does have a life outside of books. Mostly, that consists of bonding with family and friends or going on romantic trips with her awesome husband (who, thankfully, puts up with her hermit-like daily routine). Oh, yeah, there’s also the housework. But she really wishes someone else could do that for her so she could get back to her books!

She lives in one of the suburbs in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia.
