It started with a kiss.
Then it became so much more.
Love at first sight.
Avery Connor doesn’t believe in it.
But what about love at first kiss?
A favor for a friend. Kiss a stranger and walk away.
But what if that favor, and that stranger, prove to be the turning point of her life?
What if that kiss leads to something more?
Dr. Daniel Stewart is certain it will.
He is determined to make her see him. To feel what he feels.
To have the effects of that kiss last forever.
A story about taking a chance, opening your heart to the moment, and falling in love.

I saw a YouTube video last year about strangers sharing a kiss. They knew nothing about each other except first names. There was plenty of awkwardness between each couple until their lips touched and BAM! Some couples were lost in the moment, tangled up in each other, no longer aware of anything, not even in the camera. Others were more exploratory, taking their time, learning each other's mouths. That awkwardness? Pft. Totally gone. At some point each kiss went from strange to familiar. Talk about a story in the making!

Aside from the video, I can't recall hearing or reading about a romance that begins with a kiss but the idea that it can happen is intriguing.

Ms. Moreland is a new to me author, and her writing is a reason I'll read more of what she has and will have. This story is beautiful from beginning to end, a sweet and spicy story without any angst. That's hard to come by, you know? Most sweet romances I read now have some angst. This one has none. It was completely predictable, might even be considered cheesy by some, but the story is still incredible.

Daniel and Avery first meet when they participate in Avery's friend's social experiment about two strangers sharing a kiss. They meet before they're in front of the camera; Daniel kinda, sorta, accidentally, stepped on Avery on his way into the studio. They didn't know each other then but when they are formally introduced as partners for the experiment, Daniel is beyond excited. Avery is unlike any woman Daniel knows. She's shy and introverted yet the attraction he feels for beyond that first kiss is indescribable.

This story isn't rocket science. It isn't a guessing game. There aren't any unwanted surprises. It's a love story, plain and simple, that begins with the most unlikely of things, takes on a life of its own, and gives the most satisfying ending (and epilogue) ever. Terrific story, Ms. Moreland. I can't wait to read more of what you write.

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of twenty-seven-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys travelling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie delights in a good romance story with some bumps along the way, but is a true believer in happily ever after. When her head isn’t buried in a book, it is bent over a keyboard, furiously typing away as her characters dictate their creative storylines to her, often with a large glass of wine keeping her company.
