The lines between present and past will blur.

Perfect for fans of Michelle Madow, Elisa Kova, Rachel E. Carter, and Ella Summers, comes the second book in the pulse pounding, fast-paced YA paranormal Ardere Series.

After escaping a crazed killer, Sierra Reeves is ready to embrace her supernatural Fluidus heritage. She travels to London, intending to train her telekinetic and elemental conjuring abilities as well as integrate into the Ardere society, but she quickly discovers the snobbish elite are less than excited about her existence. Worse yet, Gavin, the man she believed to be her rock, has become more distant than ever as he teams up with his beautiful ex-girlfriend on a mission.

Determined to prove she’s worthy of the Fluidus title, Sierra trains harder than ever with Cooper, who tasked with protecting her, soon becomes her new confidante and possibly more.

But matters of the heart will have to wait as the Culpatus returns with indestructible weapons and unexpected allies.

A thrilling, contemporary fantasy adventure filled with secrets and romance, Mirror Sacrifice will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more!

Sierra's introduction to the Ardere society is rude and shocking. They, the elitist, are reluctant and unwilling to accept her into their fold with open arms. They are more than happy to make her life miserable in hopes she cries off her hopes of joining their ranks.

Sierra grows a lot in this story. She trains, day in and day out, mentally and physically to prove her worth. It was beautiful to see her transform and come into herself. The scorns and sneers weren't enough to stop her from trying or to keep her away, and I was relieved when she showed the naysayers what she was made of.

It helped that she had a powerful trainer and a protector, of sorts, since Gavin was away on assignment. It was in this time away from Gavin that I wondered if Sierra would really be okay. He was her everything, her rock and security as she navigated this new world, and now he was gone even if just for a short while. The fact that he was on assignment with an ex-girlfriend didn't help matters. For as strong as she becomes physically and mentally, her weakness seems to be her emotions.

Her protector, Cooper, is a lot like Gavin but different in his own right. He's a protector for a reason, and he does his utmost best to protect Sierra. But he lets her breath, lets her find herself, lets her discover who she's meant to be without leaving her vulnerable. It'd be a tough call if the choice is Gavin or Cooper but I don't feel like Cooper's happiness lies with Sierra.

For as distant as Gavin was and is, he is changing. The tight grip he's had on the past, the hurt, the anger, the bitterness is loosening. The man I see behind all of those shadows is breathtaking. But I wonder if by the time he comes into that man, it'll be too late for him and Sierra? I hope not.

There is so much to this story. Fluidus was a glimpse into the Ardere world. Mirror is a full-blown IMAX experience. Characters grow, develop, change. The darkness crowds in closer even as seeds of hope and light take root and push back. There is more than a silver lining coming, I can feel it. I can't wait to experience it.
