The arrangement was supposed to be simple.

Stay married for three months.

Playing the part of perfect spouses should have been easy. She would get one hundred thousand dollars to pay off her debt, and I’d inherit my father’s fortune.

But nothing is cut and dry when it comes to love and lust. Now, we’re in a marriage pact that's about to set flames to both of our lives forever.

Warning: An Over the Top Alpha meets his girl and won’t ever let go.

Cain needed a wife to gain the inheritance left to him by his dad. Ellie needed money to stay afloat. The ad he placed seemed the perfect solution to his problem. Her answering said ad seemed the perfect solution to her problem. A call back, an agreed meeting time and place, they were on their way to achieving their goals.

Until they actually met. Well, until Cain saw her social media profile and decided Ellie being a working actor made her perfect for the position. Getting her on board was going to take some finesse and work.

Their road to happily ever after started unconventionally but it led to knowing they were all they needed. Their marriage wasn't a sham by the time it happened. Their voiced sentiments were heartfelt and unconditional. The show they thought they'd have to give when out in public no longer was an issue because everything between them was real.

There were issues with Cain's inheritance that were difficult for him to say. Ellie's patience and love gave him the courage to do so. She wasn't judgemental, she wasn't horrified, she wasn't running away. She listened, she sympathized, she stayed. In turn, Cain was the same when she spoke about his past actions (before her) that could lead to not having the dreams she'd had for a long time: a family.

Ms. Cole and Ms. Crawford are a dynamic writing duo, and this story is a great addition to their bookshelves. It's an easy read, uncomplicated yet fulfilling. Cain and Ellie are engaging and realistic characters wanting what everyone on Earth deserves to experience and have: unconditional love of a partner despite their upbringing and a future that's brighter than they dared to dream possible.
