Baylor Iver is at the top of his field.

A Scottish-American, he moved back to the states with his mum after University and started Iver Aeronautics. He built it from a start-up to a billion-dollar company with government contracts. Now all that’s missing is a bonnie lass to share his success with.

He finally spots her on his way home and is all set to sweep her off her feet… too bad she gets away before he can claim her.

Nova Donahue is screwed.

She just lost her roommate, her apartment, and most of her belongings and now some guy keeps popping up and declaring that she’s meant for him. She’s been an optimist all of her life but given her current situation, she’s starting to have trouble seeing the best in people.

Will Baylor be able to convince his girl that what they have is true love? Or has Nova been through too much to trust again?

*Warning: This instalove romance is full of heat! Looking for an alpha hero with a strong Scottish accent who isn’t afraid to go after his woman? Then hit that button because this is the book for you!

Baylor's got it all, or he thought he did until he saw Nova walking down the street carrying her entire life in a bag. She's lost everything she had thanks to a shady roommate, including her faith in humanity. So trusting some random guy who's showing up everywhere she goes, sticking up for her, looking out for her, isn't easy. Even if that guy is good-looking with an accent that's just mesmerizing.

Baylor has a vested interest in Nova, except what he'll gain is worth far more than her weight in gold. He knows she's his future, knows she's it for him. Convincing her isn't easy; lingering doubts of his intentions show up here and there in her eyes and body language but Baylor isn't a quitter. He'll do whatever it takes to get her to trust in him and trust in his feelings for her.

I like down-on-your luck stories. There's so much potential, so many ways the plot could go, so many lines the characters could travel to get to one another. Sometimes it takes a while, other times it doesn't. I wouldn't say Baylor and Nova's story is wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am! but it's definitely not drawn out, angsty, or overly-complicated. It's a right here, right now, I know this is it story that's softened by Nova's uncertainty and Baylor's determination.

A good short read that isn't too over the top or not enough feelings. It's got the right amount of the feels coupled with a healthy dose of alpha-ness and sprinkled with happily ever after. If you're a fan of Ms. Hart, this is one you'll want to add to your bookshelf. If you aren't, well, maybe this will be the story that makes you one.
